Since June 2017, it has been possible for doctors to prescribe cannabis medications. In March 2018, the Greek Parliament approved a law authorising the cultivation and production of medical cannabis, prompting the Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras to comment enthusiastically: “from now on, the country is turning its page.”
The medical cannabis market in Europe could double in size in 2019. By 2028, the value of this flourishing market is estimated to be worth €123bn. There have been many exciting developments in the last week that lend credence to these projection.
